Gross post #1: Hunting for bunnies

Some people say I remind them of the Dirty Jobs guy (it's an American TV show), so I thought I do a couple of gross and disgusting posts. Over the weekend, my child laborer and I went hunting for dust bunnies with my vacuum cleaner. It's one of our odd pleasures when he comes over to visit. What I've shown in the picture is the dust bunnies we captured, mostly behind my stereo and in my sanding (speakers) area. Do you ever score this many bunnies in a single vacuuming experience? California tends to be dry and dusty, plus my listening room doubles as my woodshop. At least that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

No, I vacuum twice a week and there is very little to vacuum in my house.

Is it relatively "non-dusty" there?

@TheHorse There is very little dust here and I dust and mop the floors two or three times a week. Dust has no time to pile up.

I do have them because I have carpet in my house, a few rooms, so yes I vacuum and the dirt, or dist bunnies, get trapped and I toss them into the trash. I am more minimal than not so I do not have much behind the furniture.

Sometimes we'll find a spot that I've neglected for some time--a dust bunny hutch in the nth degree!

@TheHorse It's when you can see your footprints on the lounge floor that you need to worry!

@TheHorse He is a hoarder. The problem has increased. He gets angry if something is not in its place..as if anything can be. lol It will take me 2 weeks to get it in regular shape, don't worry. lol The last time I did it, he pulled down everything and spread it on bed. It was quite shocking how far he has gone.

Uhm... how long has it been since you vacuumed, pony? The only time I've ever gotten close to that many bunnies is when someone knocked over one of my potted plants! And I'm not sure those were dust bunnies since there was still a plant trying to live in that dirt!

Heh. I vacuum fairly often since I have wood dust everywhere. But my young friend and I attacked an area that had been hidden by "stuff."

@TheHorse - LOL - I'm afraid the only time I find that many dust bunnies is when we have moved our refrigerator!

I don't think I've ever seen that many dust bunnies, but then I don't go looking for them either.
