Back from the gym

Today's workout was one that we did in teams of 3. We wound up with a team of 4. There was my sister, myself, my sister's friend, and then a woman that we always work out with who needed a group to train with so we had her join us. The warm up was to push the owner's Jeep Wrangler down the length of the parking lot forward from behind and then to go around to the front, lean on the hood/bumper with our backs/behinds, and push it backwards by backpedaling. Yeah. Then this was the team workout. You had to get each thing done (however your team members could) before moving on to the next exercise. Oh and as we were doing this 2 members of our team who were not doing active exercise were holding 55 pound plates. When it was their turn to go, then they handed them off. The plates never hit the ground until we finished everything. 1) Sled pull/push (50'/50') *We had the lightest member of our team jump on the sled to make it a bit more challenging since there was barely any weight on it* 2) Barbell Hang/Clean Triples (50) We each did a set of 3 (triple) until we hit 50 as a team. 3) TRX rows (150) We did sets of 10-15 until we hit 150. 4) Push ups (200) We did sets of 20-25. 5) 4 laps around the building--2 going left, 2 going right. Yes, you had to hold the plates to do this too. It was a fun workout. Not particularly difficult because it was split up among 4 people. My sister's friend enjoyed seeing the place and some of what we do. Next workout will be either Saturday or Monday. Not sure if he is going to do a Strongman as it is a "recovery week" so there isn't anything else on the schedule. He sometimes slips in a Saturday workout for us though. We shall see!

I think it is great. I love my gym. The workouts are great stress relievers and a lot of fun. We workout in groups. No boring “go on the treadmill for an hour” or just going on machines by yourself.
