Is It Gross To Discuss A Social Problem On This Site ?

Yesterday I have posted a discussion about the menstrual hygiene in about the person India and about the person who has initiated to teach the people about it! I was taken aback to see a response from one of the members here stating that it was a 'Gross' in nature to discuss! Being one of he senior most member of this site I understand what are the things to be discussed here and what are not! When I have responded that this is not a gross to discuss and i have quoted three or four reasons for that! I am surprised that the response was deleted from my discussion...no idea who could have done that...either the admin or the member who posted that response! Don't you think such actions show lack of proper spirit to participate on this site? Your Opinion will be highly appreciated so that I may be careful in future while posting! Thanks! I participated that discussion and I have no idea who have done this. We all are matured enough to discuss such things and I can't understand the problem with the same.

That is correct dear @Sreekala ! Distraction creators are always there but then we should be positive and move further! Thanks!

@AKRao24 Yes, just forget and move on. There is a saying -be surrounded with the positive people rather than the opposite.

@AKRao24 Some people here miss the real spirit of this site. We are here to discuss, not to criticize what the others write.

Maybe they're just not opened minded about it. I think this is considered one of the most important things to talk about.

WelI, dear friend I don't want to say mentality of any one here! I only felt bad because the important subject instead of getting perceived in a serious manner it was labelleed as a gross one! I too do have the same feeling as of yours that such things should be freely discussed so that the ignorance will be removed and the society will become wise and informed about such issues which are considered as taboo in the Indian society! Thanks a lot dear friend for your positive and encouraging response dear @Letranknight2015! God bless!

Could be dear @jstory07, it is quite possible! I only felt bad that the subject with such serious message has not been taken in a true spirit and was labelled as a gross one! Well I think everyone has a liberty to express their views here! Thanks!

This issue was taken up by a single person and his family initially which has turned into a movement now as this cause is getting support from many supporters like Bollywood actors and philanthropists etc. Miss World Manushi Chillar has also joined the cause. Thanks dear @allknowing!

It is not gross to discuss such things and more. Because you have to have open mind when you read posts here.

Thanks dear @rakski ! in fact these are the problems existing in the society and no one so far not dared to think about them and come up with the concrete solution. So discussing about the person who has taken this responsibility to help the needy can't be gross at all! Thanks you very much for expressing your bold views! God bless!

everyone has a different tolerance level. if something bugs you, move on, you may be the only one. theres nothing wrong when its done in a educational level. that person may just have a weak stomach.

If we don't discuss things how are we going to find a solution that works for all of us? I think that self-proclaimed "censor boards" should understand that the duty of censor board is not to censor everything that offend them personally.

Very well said dear @Daljinder! This type of people feel that everything should go according to their liking anything goes against them then it becomes a bad thing for them! I fully agree with you that unless the problems are not discussed where from the solutions we are going to have? Thanks a lot for your insight and respose! God bless!

Yes, that is very true, after all every one is free to do whatever they want! They are not asked to respond the discussion without fail or made this discussion compulsory for them! Thanks dear @Courage7 !
