My husband got $3k bonus before Christmas

February 21, 2018 9:58am CST
And received a salary raise, as well. His boss was so proud for the good deed. He felt so good to share his wealth to his employees for job well-done. My happy husband surprised us with Christmas presents this year. We received gold nuggets of kindness and we are very grateful to my husband's company. And our country hasn't even experienced the great impact of tax-reform as that of USA is wonderfully experiencing. :-)

That's no big deal. Both my sons and nephew receive more than that and have every year since they began their careers. I agree with what @NJChicaa stated! I would have been kinder in my comments if you didn't blast my country like that. FYI, I love my country and wouldn't live anywhere else!

$3k IS a big deal to me and my family. My husband's surgery went well with the bonus money that came at the right time. Wow good for your employed sons and they got bonuses. Well done! Blast? Is "wonderfully experiencing" a bad thing to say? Good for you that you love your country. USA needs more citizens like you. Good job!

It was great to have been part of the bonus. Half was used for his eye surgery.

@arthurchappell Thank you. Both eyes on different schedules (Oct and Dec.) were successful.

Thank you. He used half of it for his eye surgery. It was a blessing, indeed.

No. He works at one of the major banks in Australia.I guess they share stocks and investments with USA companies.

About last year as well, his company deposited into his pay account $700 on profit shares (he was told). Lately, I'm beginning to show interest in "profile shares and stocks" into our retirement. We both don't know anything about these money-generating economy. :-/ But it looks good and hopeful for us.

There is no great impact here. You don’t even live in America. You have no idea what is going on here.

Thanks for your personal insight about me. I shall take no offense. Credible news. US stock markets. My US friends and relatives tell me. Did you receive Pelosi's "pathetic crumbs", as well?

Good for both of you! But I work on contract basis so I get a fixed amount and my contract is renewed every year with mutually agreed salary and perks. We the contract workers don't get any bonus or gifts like the regular workers but we get higher salary compared to them that probably compensate for gifts etc.
