are some cultures vanishing??

in India alone in last 60 years about 200 languages have vanished...researchers found nobody speaking those. that means 200 cultures/a way of life lost. it is sad but i feel like English being the language for everything other languages have lost their importance. for ex knowing better English can fetch you a good job than knowing a better local language. but it is what it is...may be 100 years from now somebody will be worrying about loosing a major language in some country...
what's your thoughts on this??

Organizations should form to maintain the culture and tradition.so it will carry on to next generation.
