This Friday is a meatless day for us.
I prepared our lunch by frying these smoked 'tinapa' fish (herring) and slicing 3 salted red eggs with tomatoes.
The freshly cooked rice plus the vinegar to dip the fish with, will be good to fill our tummies.
Let's have lunch!

hahaha! i understand you. men need more protein especially if they are in to strenuous activities. besides, meat can add more muscles.

@ridingbet I've only had them fried in a Korean restaurant. We eat herring in a cream sauce with onions, my favorite, or pickled.

before i would mix onions with the tomatoes and the red eggs, but my sister does not eat onions, so what i added were 3 pieces of ripe tomatoes. are the herring fish you eat fried?

basically, because it is Lent. we also open cans of salmon if we get 'tired' of meat

yes, it is a breakfast meal. we had that though for lunch because we had bread and coffee only for breakfast.
