I don't want to make promises because I know I can't keep most of them. If I want to do something then I just do it when I can. If I'm trying not to do something, then I just avoid it when I can. I didn't make a promise to anybody or to myself that I wouldn't eat pork, but I just quit last year.

Yes! You are right my friend! I too never do any promises! If others ask also I never make any promises.. I think they are like extra burden to us.. Thanks for sharing your views!

@mydanods I never break a promise, this is why because most of the time I do not promise, I clearly state "I do if I can".

@LadyDuck that's my point too my friend! It's really waste ..of giving words! If we are unable to complete them ,then it's tough! Than words,we have to prove through"actions"

I hardly make promises. I have forgotten the last time I made one. I feel guilty though if I don't keep a promise.

@Teekaaa If I make a promise and eventually my situation changes that it would be difficult to keep the promise, I still do my best to keep it. I believe a promise is a debt.
