Is Social Media good for kids?

Alot of kids and young teens have social media accounts and always there's a good side and a bad side about it. What are your thoughts about children using social media?

I think children using social media needs to be supervised at ALL times! They don't know the things to avoid or stay away from and they need a parent or guardian to protect them. My oldest daughter is on one social media app which I constantly supervise-she helps people and shows them Jesus-which is amazing!

In everything, there is a good and bad effect...it's a millennial generation already so we cant take that away from them...even if you prohibit them from using one, somehow they'll still do it..let's face it, children today are very intelligent and hardheaded too...so instead of locking them away from it let's just supervise them and set some limitations...there are also security features wherein we can ban some sites we knew that could not be suited for them...

I'm not sure it is good. Even with adults and teens on social media, there is a lot of drama and bullying. A rumor can take on a life of its own and can be devastating to kids. Bullying campaigns could ruin a kid's life. Please let the drama wait until they are older and more experienced in life.

@Kakashi20 I still think there will be a problem with kids abusing other kids online. Also, there could be predators posing as children to entice a kid to meet them somewhere.

Kids should not be able to access adult social media sites. Someone should make a good social media site for kids. That's what I think.

Bad content is more than good..so better kids should stay away from social media

It is bad, but our world is also no good sometimes... So, I think that kids must try it... Just good parents will guide them. Anyway, one day a kid will be curious and register there. It is better to allow him officially
