I have my iPad pulled up with a Memphis TV station and am feeding it into Apple TV. There's a lot of severe weather southwest of us, so I'm watching the coverage. Hope everyone is staying dry. To help your Saturday evening go swimmingly (see what I did there?), here's another song on my list of favorite #1 songs by the year. 1964 (Pop): Come See About Me - Supremes I do NOT expect a serious "never heard of it" from anyone here. (Note I said "serious." I'll probably get a joke or two.) What can I say? An absolute classic song by an absolute classic group. Yeah, this may be played a lot/too much, but this is such a beautiful example of great Motown music from the mid-60s that it's very understandable why people in succeeding generations have heard it and gone "wow." I was only four when this song came out, and I didn't hear it until I was a teenager, but I'm sure glad I did. Come See About Me Written by Holland/Dozier/Holland Recorded by the Supremes From Where Did Our Love Go, 1964 #1 for 2 weeks No matter what you do or say:

Great song among so many by the Supremes. When I am out at a bar and the DJ plays a Motown set you can bet there will be a string of Golden Oldie Supremes music in that selection to "Keep me hanging on."

I saw Diana Ross do this live back in the 80's!
