What Did You Expect?

I must apologize for not being around much. I've been living it up in Florida. Did you expect me to sit on my computer all day indoors or even myLot from work, which I wouldn't do, even if I did work!
This weekend was exceptionally busy, even for me. I've been walking, golfing, playing tennis, shopping, going out for brunch, lunch, and dinners with my sweet husband and different groups of friends, and to top it all off, did two new things.
We have a friend of a friend, who took a small group of us on his yacht for a ride on the ocean. Cocktails, nibbles, sun, and fun!
Another friend of a friend's nephew took us out in his speedboat yesterday. I tried water skiing in the ocean for the first time ever. I tried about 20 times, and only managed to stay up for a total of 3 minutes. . There were shark and riptide flags up, so that frightened me every time I flopped in the water.
Did I miss much on myLot over the weekend?

somehow i can't imagine the glamorous dianne flopping in the water... but trying 20 times means you're really determined to nail it! how fast does the speedboat go?

@DianneN at least you tried and stayed upright for 3 minutes! maybe jetskiing is more your thing?

It went too fast for me! I have no idea how fast the boat went, but I'm sure it was a reasonable speed. I'm just a klutz on the water. I looked like a drowned rat immediately and the wake of the boat, mixed with the waves of the ocean, were not my cup of tea.

We missed you and I'm always happy to hear about your adventures there in Florida. I always wanted to learn to water ski but certainly not in waters with sharks

That's why I haven't seen you post a discussion recently. But of course I don't really expect you to post every single day as I don't do that either. Life outside of mylot can be really more exciting, going somewhere, meeting new people, and all the other activities that are fun to do.
I will be away from mylot too but only for two to three days maybe. I will be on a business trip again tomorrow, the 28th of February and will be back home on March 2nd. Me and my friend, business partner will surely be shopping as well which we always do while away on a business trip.

Tried water skiing 'once' @DianneN . Wasn't really given good instructions on how to do it. After flying through the air in a triple somersault and hitting the water like concrete; that was my last time.

No, you didn't miss anything. But you didn't say anything about Orville. I expected to see him in the picture. Oh well, when you have yachts and water skiing, you can't have much else. 
I expect by now you have a wonderful tan from all you've been doing, though shopping is an indoor sport, not an outdoor one, unless you go to a farmer's market. As for the nibbles and eats, you can't possibly be concerned about any extra ounces when you're golfing, playing tennis, and walking.
I'm really happy you're having loads of fun in Florida. 
I expect by now you have a wonderful tan from all you've been doing, though shopping is an indoor sport, not an outdoor one, unless you go to a farmer's market. As for the nibbles and eats, you can't possibly be concerned about any extra ounces when you're golfing, playing tennis, and walking.

@DianneN Maybe I should come when I still have ten pounds to lose. With all your walking, jogging, and whatever else you're doing for exercise, golf and tennis, I'd be sure to lose it all by the time I got back from the whirlwind vacation you would have me on.

Golfing? Hey, how are you doing with this sport? I tried it years ago, at a driving range, only. Water skiing looks like a lot of fun, but I still can't swim:) Sharks? Oh, oh, I'd be nervous about losing a leg or an arm!

@kobesbuddy Yikes! I didn't hear about that. Great whites swim up to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and have attacked quite a few people. My friend has a cottage there and lives on one of the beaches where the sharks attacked. She was interviewed on TV news.

@DianneN It's funny you mentioned this, last summer there were three shark attacks in North Carolina! This hadn't happened in years, then 'bingo!' Three within a few hours of each other, within an area of about 20 miles. One teenager lost an arm:(
