Enjoying more time for myself and my family

Last year, I took a lot of jobs (as in 3 to 4 jobs, most of them project-based) that resulted to some family conflict (because of my lack of time), and my stress and depression. Then by end of the year, I took some time to think why I was doing that (taking more work than I can manage) and realized that I was losing more than the financial gains. So, I decided to just focus on my original job so that I can free up some time to devote for my family, my kids and myself. And after two months, I feel that I did the right thing because I am not always in a hurry now, I can go out with my family more often, and play with my kids. But most importantly, the stress and depression that I had been feeling in the past couple of years have dramatically reduced (if not totally eliminated) and I am a lot happier now. So friends, I am sharing this to you so you can think of the most important things in your life and devote more time on them. Eliminate the unnecessary things that are giving you so much stress. Life is short. Enjoy every moment of it. I hope you can also share here your thoughts and experiences.

Woking more than 8 hours certainly has bad affects. I always try to balance my work life and family life to keep myself and my family happy. Glad to know that you realised it and cut your working time and finally leading a good life.

That's what i've been telling my husband. Even when we are on a family outing he's still on his phone doing business. Sometimes we even force him to shut off his phone so he could relax and enjoy our family time together...
