The fresh tuna was at half price.

I have just arrived from my trip to the supermarket with Leticia. It was a great outing for both, the first time we were thinking about us two for meals in 3 months. I found fresh tuna, the fish I love best, at half price. I bought a lot (one kilo) and placed it immediately in the deep freeze except for a piece. Leticia had never had sashimi (raw fish with wasabi, soy sauce and ginger). I introduced her into the delicacy. It is quite late and we have not had lunch yet. But the sashimi helped us. Do you eat snacks if lunch is going to be very late? The tuna we have here is brought from Easter Island by the way. Do you know where the fish you eat come from?

Nearly all the fish we eat are imported from Europe. Petroleum extraction and pollution has virtually killed most of the commercially viable fishes here.

@marguicha And nobody seems to know what to do about it because it is good for the economy. That's the unfortunate truth.

Yes, we know from where fishes we buy come from. Sea breams and sea bass come from Greece of Sardinia, Salmon from Scotland or Norway, the best tuna for sushi comes from Japan and from the Persian Gulf.

We always check where most of the products we buy come from. We try to buy local where we can but it isn't always possible. I'm glad you're back to just the two of you again.

All our fish come from our ocean. Our country is a very long one, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and the Andes mountains on the other.
