money to the beggars or food?

The beggars are commonly seen near the exit of the metro or on the crowded street.Especially in the winter,I always feel sympathy for them.Every morning when I go out of the metro station,I can see a poor old man,who squatts on the roadside and keeps his head down.He is about sixty something. His face is full of wrinkles, which seems remind people the hardships he experienced. Each day thousands of people pass in front of him hurriedly, some spares the coins, but most just give him a quick look and then leave. On one morning,I gave him 50 rupees and the next day I summoned up my courage to give him some bread, though it is little,it is the only thing I can do for him.I don't have too much money and the ability to do the big favor to him. Will you give money to the beggars? But I won't give the money to the beggars with young face and healthy body,I should say they just want to make the easy money.Giving them the money just encourges them to be lazier. What is your point on it?Thank you in advance.

I will offer money only if he or she is physically disabled. If not i won't pay anything. There were more than 100 possible ways for an individual to sustain. One can work as 'coolie' and they can eat at least good foods. If not they can join watch man or security so they can run family.

@Raj7779 go them and ask for help. they are government responsibilities. people paying tax for them also, what the beggars doing is to bypass the tax and get it directly.

I will if they look like they are suffering. The other day I was approached by someone wanting $46! He claimed the homeless shelter kicked him out, and needed a motel. He looked pretty young and healthy. I managed to convince him I had no money on me and he left. I don't know of many homeless shelters kicking people out. He didn't bother asking anyone else after me, so I'm glad I called it correctly as a scam.

I agree with you ..those having all capabilities are becoming lazier while disabilities people are working hard ,struggling to survive.we should not encourage young faces by giving money.

I guess the kid who begs money rather than food is trained by some type of criminal organizations. If they can not fulfill the task, they would be punished.
