Back from the gym!

Tonight was my return to the gym for the first time since I hurt my wrist exactly 2 weeks ago. It went well. I met my sister and we worked out together. There were 3 exercises that we had to cycle through for 5 sets: 1) Single leg deadlift with kettlebell (5 x 10R/10L) 2) Turkish get ups with kettlebell (5 x 2R/2L) 3) Box step ups with kettlebell (5 x 5R/5L) I am terrible with single leg deadlifts as I feel like a weeble-wobble. They really slowed me down. The TGUs and box step ups were fine. The finisher was a circuit where we were supposed to run though a little course in the back room (triple hop, zig zag hop, ladder, and then a sprint), then do 20 TRX rows, and then do a 50' body walk one way and a 50' body walk the other way. I did the first two things but skipped the body walks as I didn't think my wrist would be up for that at all. All in all it was a great workout for my first time back in awhile. I have definitely lost my wind though. I need to get back at it for sure!

I bet you was glad to be back after your time away. I hope you did not overdo it.

No I didn't. If I did the body walks, that would have been overdoing it.

@NJChicaa Glad you didn’t. I am sure you was glad to have been able to get some workout in after not working out for a while.

It felt good to be back. Now it doesn't feel so good as my wrist is definitely sore. I should probably ice it. The TGUs and rows didn't help.

With this ankle injury I was afraid I would not be able to get up and go, but I am after a couple days of light duty, I will wait a few more days before allowing the dogs to run me. Glad your wrist is healing.

I always tell myself to go to the gym but haven't had the courage to do so. Thanks for posting this. It will inspire some of us.
