Back from the gym

My walk to the gym to go to yoga class was a good one, though it was a bit crisp and then snow started to fall. Before class started, I did see Sara. So I know I would get a ride home from her tonight. Though no Amanda, she did take me home because of the snow outside and it got dark quick. So that was nice of her to do so. Our class was half-full with two new yogis--one being Sara's son Gavin joining the class. Before we got down to our regular routine, our instructor asked if anyone wanted to try an essential oil for calming or allergies. We had a choice of lemon, lavender or tea tree. I picked tea tree, which would help me with my sinus congestion. Then we did some restorative yoga, when we rolled our foam block in our mat and stretched ourselves backwards over it. We did it for both sides. Here's the new poses we did tonight: 2 Half-Chair Poses and 2 Chair Poses 2 Half-Body Twists (1x/side) 2 Kneeling Dancer Poses (1x/side) 2 Arm-Leg Poses (1x/side) Lastly, we did have a bit of an extended meditation period for about ten minutes to close out the class.

It is rare for it to snow here. You did have a good workout.

That sounds like a nice workout. Not too extensive, unless those were only what was new and not the whole routine.

Thanks Valerie. She does like to shake things up by switching poses and adding a few new ones to the mix.
