Oh No Termites!

Philippines

That was disappointing. I just found out that the sack plate were I placed my moringa leaves for drying was overrun by termites. I got rid them but it cost another weeks powder . Didn't expect that happening. Looks like I'm back with the Paper Bags then

Sorry about the termites invasion. You have to be careful where you put the moringa leaves next time. Hope everything was not totally ruined?

@Letranknight2015 i believe the SOLIGNUM termite removing insecticide is already causing immunity to these termites, or maybe these insects have developed a hard shell to protect them from the insecticide.

That's terrible. Is it termite season there? I remember when it hit on Guam. I wasn't prepared for this particular season and didn't know how to get rid of them.

Hello @just4him I don't know how the termite problem started but they have grown vastly recently.

I thought termites do not like the taste of moringa which is somewhat bitter! You can place salt around your moringa leaves for drying to ward them off. Ants do not like salt too.

Hello @acelawrites Thank you!, this is the first time I've heard of salt that would send those ants away from my leaves.

Hello @Sreekala for health reasons, but if you want details you can search my past discussions with tagging moringa on it.

We have problems with ants and termites too. So you dry the leaves and add it to food?

I have not heard of termites attacking things kept in sunlight. Strange.
