Hi everyone! The weather is very changeable here, sun, rain, cold, warm, cold again... We cannot get rid of viruses! I have two kids and it's been very hard for them ever since autumn, they keep getting ill. When I was a kid, my mom would make us drink lots of tea, a mixture of mountain herbs, with lemon and honey. Iw was different where I grew up, there was almost no pollution, everything was organic and healthy. My brotheres and I almost never got sick. A friend of mine recommended using garlic as a natural remedy, when my kids have an otitis, I use bandaids to patch a clove of garlic to their ear. They sleep through the night and by morning the pain is completely gone. I also read that leaving a chopped onion by the side of their pillow helps them breathe when they have the flu and a stuffy nose. I'd like to hear from your experiences... Do you have any natural remedies to share? Have you ever tried a remedy that did more harm than good?

@MaciMaci If it makes your kids feel better so it's good, but take them to make a bath in the morning.

My mom also used the garlic in case of ear pain. I never heard about the onion. A remedy that did more harm than good? Yes, I remember very well salt on a cold sore on my lip. The salt creates humidity, the cold sore lasted the double than if I used nothing.

@MaciMaci It hurt a little bit, but the salt made a mess. The cold sore became bigger. It is incredible it is still suggested online as a remedy.Never again.
