Both of us are clumsy

Both hubby and I are a bit clumsy at times. This week he dropped a heavy piece on concrete on his toe, instead of laying it on the canvas car cover he wanted to hold in place. The toe is not broken, but it has a horrendous blood blister. He was scheduled to see the doctor. Doctor put him on antibiotics to keep him from getting an infection. As for me, I injured myself by missing a classroom chair when I was trying to sit down. I rammed my back against a corner of a wall hung cabinet. My bruise is a lovely light blue. No one saw me do it. I am glad. Be safe out there, and be careful. Do not be like us.

I'm sorry that happened to you two. Years ago my hubby dropped a heavy pan lid on his big toe. That toe nail has not been the same since.

Sometimes when a toenail is injured it becomes prone to fungus. My daughter has a toe like that she hurt in her teens.

Accidents will happen. And some are worse than others. I have had my share of clumsy accidents in my life. But now as I am getting older I seem to be more careful when I do things. Where I was never like that before. Wow, am I really getting old?

@inertia4 I wouldn't bet on the age thing, shall we compare?

@GardenGerty Well, you both have to be younger than I am. LOL. Look, life is what it is. Not that we shouldn't have access to those hidden technologies they hold back from us. I am sure we can live a lot longer if we had access.

I am very clumsy and so is my daughter. I didn't realize a blood blister could become infected!

This one was huge and was clear across the base of his big toe. With him having just had the heart issue they do not want to risk infection getting into his blood stream.

I'll try to avoid your mistakes, but I manage to make enough of my own. Right now I feel like I have a cut or sliver in my thumb. It just stings when I touch it but I can't find the thing causing the pain to get rid of it or treat it.

We all are clumsy some time or other. we had gone to eat in a friend's house. I sat on a sofa which was so soft I sank in it and head hit the wall behind -BANG! Everyone was blaming the sofa but I knew it was my fault.

Uh-oh. I'm sure that concrete hurt royally, but having done what you did myself, I am glad it wasn't worse for you. Because that hurts!

It is embarrassing as well. My thought as I began to go down was "now you've done it. I am glad no one can see you."

Accidents happen even to the not clumsy ones but mostly to those who are.

Part of his problem was with the strong wind jerking the tarp and causing the concrete brick to fall.

He takes a blood thinner, so I am sure that made it look even worse. I am not, and so it is different.

No, I don't bruise easily, but I fall and trip easily. I am blaming this on having a cold and not being really steady.

I am still bruised up. Last Sunday I fell and the bruises are the size of my azz, on my azz. My foot is still not working properly and my ankle is still swollen. Every nosy person in the neighborhood seen me A couple days ago I I took a chunk off my hand, with the julienne peeler, it resembles skidding across pavement, with a design inside. I am thinking it wwas a moon phase and its over!

We can certainly hope so. I have had two falls since the first of the year. Neither with a full audience, though, so it's good. I told hubby he hurt his foot to take his mind off his mouth. It did not work. His foot feels much better, mouth still gives him trouble.

OUCH!!!!!!!! Are you both alright? I dread those clumsy days. I can't afford to clumsily harm myself-- now that job-seeking. After 31 years being a stay-at-home-mom. Take extra care. We're not getting any younger. :-D
