Love That You Tube Joke

There's a little joke that You Tube likes to pull. You go to You Tube to look up a product (either a vintage commercial, or doing research on something you're considering buying), and what do they do?
Before your video starts they give you a commercial....for a competing product.
I'm sure that's carefully-staged "product placement." For instance, what prompted this was going to YT for a look at a hybrid minivan (not that I need a minivan: even if I were schizophrenic I don't need that many seats in my car ) from Chrysler. Before the video began, I was "treated" to a ten-second commercial....
From Ford.
It's not the only time I've noticed it. Look up a DIY project and you get a Menard's ad (well, if you live in a part of the country where you have Menard's [we just recently got them nearby]). Look up a Honda review and a local Toyota dealership pops up.
It is product placement. I appreciate the humor, though, of having the Chevrolet video I'm watching sponsored by Ford.

Musical twist, you say?
The music video for Dire Straits' "Twisting By The Pool" from their album "ExtendedancEPlay", released in 1983.
