Why Such A Difference?

United States

Whenever I am out and about, I check the different prices of gas on the way to wherever I'm going. Yesterday, on my way to play rehearsal, I checked on the prices at three gas stations. The first price I saw was $2.289. I thought, "Wow! The price is pretty reasonable!" Then 6 blocks further, the price at 2 gas stations was $2.689. Why would there be such a difference in the price of gasoline in such a small area?

Location & how much it cost at the time they ordered it! One place here charges outrageous prices but its off a highway and literally the only one for miles.

Seems like the ones that are isolated are the ones where the costs are quite a bit higher.

@bluerubymoon53 yeah, the glory if supply and demand. Occasionally they do discounts. One place offered like a 10 cent discount trying to drum up business. Some went that were not good at math or thinking. The cost of driving there (gas spent to and from) was way more than they saved. Haha

I like 2.10 better than 2.56! At least it's not $4 like it was 3 years ago or so. That was awful!
