Before there was an instance that I paid our Water bill and fall in line in the Senior/Pregnant/PWD Lane. I was in a hurry because it was my session that day. And since the regular lane was crowded so I made my way to the Senior/Pregnant/PWD lane instead. One behind me was a Senior. She was pushing me, at first I did not bother because I was busy messaging my friend in the center. She keeps pushing me until I was not in the lane anymore and I told her not to do that. She got angry and asked me why am I in the Senior lane? And that I should move myself to the regular lane. I told her that I'm in a hurry and I should be here, and she should wait for her turn and not pushing me. This time she was yelling at me because I don't belong in that lane. The security guard saw that she was making a scene confront the senior. The guard was the one explaining to the senior that I'm a Person with Disability. And that I ask the security guard to have me in the Special lane. The senior caught off guard and a lot of people are talking at her. She got silence and feel ashamed of what she did. Thank God, I can show people that I'm a PWD with my ID. In that way, people will not be messing with me anymore. Are some of you encounter this kind of thing? Do you have you PWD if you are a Person with Disability? Or a Senior ID if you are a senior? The Picture is mine.

I am a senior and can get tickets at a reduced price. That's the only positive thing about it.

@JustBhem That's strange. Being a senior doesn't mean to be poor. There must be enough seniors in your country who can pay the full price for food and medication.

@MALUSE Most of the seniors don't have money, they rely on their pension and some of their children most.

That is horrible she was treating you like. I would told her I am in this designated lane for a reason. She should have apologized.

I agree with you. Especially when it comes to a Special Lane, they thought they are the only have the right to the special lane.

Even if you were in the wrong lane(which you weren't), that lady had no business pushing you, at all! Then, to talk mean and holler at you? She should be very ashamed of her rude behavior!:(

Yes, I can see that on her face when a lot of people talks about her. I have a high respect for elders but someone like her is not the one I should look up to.

Some people are so rude, they should think before making a scene. I am a senior, I am asked all the time to show my ID, people do not believe me.

My son has a pwd id too. I used them when falling in line to buy food in restaurants/fast food. I also experience this. They did not do that but this senior gave her ID together with her order to the cashier when there are three of us infront of her. I am the next in line and the person infront of me is almost finish with her orders. By the mere action, she is implying to he cashier she is a senior and that she shiuld be prioritize in seniir/pwd lane. The cashier look at me and told me she going to do the senior's orders first. So what I did is to show the pwd ID if my son and told the cashier I have a pwd ID as well. So the cashier then attended to me. Then the one next after me apparently has a senior ID too. Too bad for that senior, she has to wait for her turn because all the ones in line are all priority and not only her.

@JustBhem Precisely my point. No offense to thwm but some of them abuse their use of their ID. Even if you have the ID if people in line have the ID also then you are all equal.

That will piss me off, it happens all the time here too whenever we validate our bill in the Hospital. They don't care if there is someone first in the line with them and will just push themselves to get into the line when other seniors are falling in line.

I am neither but that was rude of her to do that considering that she is a senior. I experienced that with a senior in the jeepney when I did not ask for her unsolicited advice. Some people think they have the right to say whatever they want just because they are a senior.
