How I wish I could stay

However it is getting late and I know I need to sleep to heal. Not used to early nights but I will wake up at some point and lay there til I can go to sleep again. Never knew surgery could do that to you!
Hope that all is doing well and now that Im feeling at least human I will be back as normal. Here is hoping to healing!

Yes, the early nights are something I wasn't used to after I had my last two surgeries. After a while I got back into my old routine. Now that my ankle is broken, I'm going to bed early again because I can't get around to do anything by myself anyway, so might as well go to bed when the boyfriend does!
I'm glad you're back to feeling human. I keep telling myself I'll get there eventually...and then I'll have to have surgery! Haha. Sigh. What I wouldn't give for a shower right now...I can't even do that. I would love to feel human again.

Yep that is me, I mean I can walk and stuff and do light cleaning, things at my height, Im afraid to bend over. LOL! So yeah kinda boring. I know day by day is the answer. Now I got tooth pain Im like ohhh come on! I just took my 2nd shower this time only needed help into the tub. Was nice to finally be able too, just hoping the thing they put over the incision stays put.
How long will you have the cast? I hope it goes super fast and then you can get back to getting surgery too.

@Srbageldog In a way all this makes us appreciate the little things in life for sure!! Glad you was able to get a shower .. feels so good to be able to doesn't it? Time goes faster then I thought it would, I cant believe it has been 15 days for me.

@Ithink I FINALLY was able to take a shower last night -- my mom bought me a shower bench that goes over the edge of the tub so you sit on it and scoot yourself into the shower. And then I used a handheld showerhead to shower with. It's so nice being clean again!
I will be in the cast for at least 6 weeks. It's already been a week and a half since I broke my ankle, so hopefully the time goes by fast.

Yes surgery and the normal sleep pattern will be messed up for a little while. BUT I am so glad you are now healing and had that surgery.

Thank you, hubby said he was all to happy to sign and was glad I was out in the OR and they had to ask him. He did say he signed and then panicked the whole time I was in there. Now for patience to try and not do to much to fast. I can say I have not done a thing yet thou. He wont let me. lol
