St Patricks Day hat parade.

United Kingdom

I actually work in a school called St Patricks. Of course we are celebrating this special day. The highlight for the children is the hat parade. The children make a hat at home ...usually green with rainbows, pots of gold etc on and everyone goes into the school hall and each class walk around the hall showing off their hats as the rest of the school clap them. It is a lovely day and one which we all enjoy celebrating. Do you celebrate St Patricks day ? If so what do you do ?

Nope. I'm not Irish. Does your school celebrate St Andrew, St George and St David as well??

We do talk about the other days but as I said we are actually St Patricks school so we have to talk about him more than the others.

We don't celebrate it as such but our concert is on that day so we have an Irish flag on the back wall and it has a few shamrocks round it.

No, St Patrick's Day is not celebrated in Switzerland.
