A trip to the kitchen. Dinner.

I am hungry. Today I went to the supermarket, mainly to buy some wine and other niceties for Sunday. I have guests for dinner and I don´t have a drop of wine.
I decided on champagne to go with the appetizers. The dinner will all the spicy and hot as I will make Peruvian food with my grandma´s recipes.
But I don´t remember what else I bought to eat while I wait for Sunday. I remember I have some salmon, on sale, that I bought for tomorrow. Just enough for Leticia and I as salmon even on sale is not cheap.
My tummy is now making all sorts of noises telling me please to give it something.

My tummy is also very hungry, I'm waiting for the lasagna to finish cooking and then I'll put the Caesar salad together.

@marguicha Our main meal is usually dinner, since that's when most of us are home. Sometimes it's breakfast.

Hope it'll be a great day that day. I usually go out to dinner or pretty much a late lunch when we go out with the family on Sundays. We leave early to go places just to go out before the week starts then if we take a long time to do something, we skip lunch so we always eat late. I do miss those times when my uncle used to make carne asada and all the family went.

@marguicha I was born here but my grandparents are from Mexico and so are my parents. Oh, yea having BBQ is better in cases like this

@fearjp How do they make carne asada in Mexico? We use the word asado instead of barbecue. And we would never use ground meat in asados.

Where are you from? Carne asada is a Spanish word. I invite to my house because I cannot pay for a good restaurant and I´m a good cook. My brother invited me out a couple of weeks ago.

I´m sure I will. I also invited my brother and his wife and my youngest daughter with her husband. Both couples have been very nice to me lately.

I eat salmon often. Although it is rather expensive, it is not more expensive than some red meats. We have salmon in my country.
