I just don't understand

OK I know that people are judgemental a lot towards well everything anymore..but this is my step dad and he don't like bigger people and always talks smack about them..so that mean me..I have always been on the heavy side and I was telling my mom tonight that DQ is giving free ice cream away on the 20th of this month and that I'm getting some of ice cream (hey it's free)..he looks over at me shakes his head and says that I don't need it..well sorry to tell ya buddy is my body and you only live once so enjoy it while you can..but it is starting to get to me because he always makes fun of me.

Try not to let it get to you. People can knock you down in an instant but it takes years to build yourself back up. Stand tall and never stoop to his or anyone else's level. :-)

Well, duh. Nobody needs ice cream, but a lot of us enjoy it just the same.
The BS he spouts says a lot more about his character (or lack thereof) than anything. Start calling him out on it directly. "What an inappropriate thing to say. I'm so embarrassed for you." or "Mom, did you hear what your husband just said to me? Maybe you should have him make an appointment with his doctor for a dementia screening."
Jerks like that will always find something to insult a person over, though. They're such insecure little people that they have to put others down to feel good about themselves.

Yes that true and he has always been that way with me and yes my mom's will hear what he says to me but don't say anything back to him because that would start a big fight between then cuz (he's the man of the house) and what he says goes..so if I say anything then my mom will yell at me.

I know its hard but the best you can do is to turn a deaf ear. It is mean to do that to anyone especially someone close to you. So don't stress it and just do what makes you happy.
