The sun is setting each day a little earlier and I feel I should be in bed, ready for a new chilly morning.
Fall is not cold in my country, but we can all guess what will come next. 
I don´t like winter at all and I don´t visualize the possibility of going elsewhere for a small vacation this year.
I am keeping my eyes open to see if something happens during June to August. If nothing happens, I will freeze as usual in spite of the warm blankets, the clothes and the heaters.
What is your favorite season? I can twll you that winter is not mine.

I know. I would love to be able to go to the Caribbean this winter. But I´m afraid I will not be able to.

@kobesbuddy She is doing so well that she is thinking about staying in Europe for at least one more year. Besides, her father went to see her with Vicente on February and took her to Paris. And Claudia will go with all her family for a trip through Spain.

@velvet53 How beautiful. I also have irises in my garden. Due to our climate, the plant is green all winter and it is very hardy.

It is the opposite for us as our spring is approaching (although this year we still have snow!). The nights are getting lighter which I love as I hate dark nights.

Fortunately, we don´t have snow in winter here. The cold rain is more than enough to make me hate winter. We don´t use central heating here so it is difficult to like the season.

@sprite1950 I have a gas heater and only use part of the house in winter. And I have an electric blanket and a lot of warm clothes.

@marguicha It must be very damp, We normally get a lot of rain but this winter has been a mixture of rain and snow but at least we have central heating.

@JudyEv Many times I go to my daughter´s home for lunch and stay until late and she has to lend me something to wear. Here the temperature changes a lot from day to night.

Our winter is not cold. I live at 23 degree North Latitude, near Calcutta. Though central and north India is much colder, we get pleasant weather for most of the winter. However, spring is my favorite which comes in February and March. Summer is torturous here.

That's right, you're having the opposite issue that we are having right now!
Autumn is usually my favorite season. It's a relief after the horribly hot summers.

I am a summer person and like you I hate winter and the colder weather. I enjoy the longer days of sunshine and just being outside more. It provides me chances to visit the beach, play golf and take boardwalk walks. Hoping your winter season is a short one
