My New Blouse

Yesterday was not only the Ides of March, but my brother's birthday.
In lieu of a gift, my husband and I treated him and his wife to dinner at a new French restaurant.
When my husband saw me dressed up, he told me that he loved my blouse and the silly man asked if it was new. He forgot that he bought it for me when we first arrived in Florida. Men! Gotta love them. 
I finally had a chance to wear it after three months. We made reservations for courtyard dining around a beautiful outdoor garden. It wasn't too hot or too cool, and the blouse was worth the wait.
I still have a closet full of clothes I haven't had the chance to wear, yet, so will box them up and ship them home.

Yes and most of them are dressy and I have not been anywhere to wear them.

Nope, I just bought 5 new tops and wore all but one on the cruise. They are all the new things I have bought since Christmas.

At least you wore four of them! I have a hefty gift card to use at Saks next week, but darn that Melania for staying the week. More trouble for us getting to Palm Beach thanks to the barricades! I should go to Bocca or Miami instead. Have to use it by April 1st.

when a brother gives me tee shirts, i use them for church. maybe it is my way to show appreciation.
your blouse looks great. i have a white blouse looking the same as yours. the ruffles though are just one strip along the shoulders in a V-shape, and some piping at the center of the blouse.

I have the same problem and now they aren't too stylish. Ha Ha!!! Thank you. I got the shakes when I saw that blouse and had to have it. Of course my husband was with me and approved it. Obviously, it didn't mean much, because he forgot about it.

I just bought two t shirts online. They have been washed and I got them back from the laundry - I had sent them for ironing. Just waiting to wear them.

I tend to wear things in stages. In other words, I'll have my favorites for a while, wear them over and over again, and then move on and leave them hanging in my closet for months. Then, when I go back to wear something I haven't worn for awhile, my husband always thinks it is new! LOL

Lol! My husband doesn't like me wearing the same thing twice when we go out. So I've learned to wait a month or two until he forgets that I've worn it before. All it takes to trick him is to add a scarf, use a different shade of lipstick, or wear different shoes.

Thank you! I've done a lot of shopping here thinking I'd need certain things, but I can use most of them when we return home. My husband isn't happy with the added shipping costs, especially since the stores I visit have free shipping.

That is a beautiful blouse and you have a wonderful husband even if he is forgetful at times. You will never believe this but I still have some clothes hanging around from my NYC days and that was some 20+ years ago. Now since I am planning on moving back to the states it is time to get rid of all I can because I know they are clothes I will never wear but I kept them for the memories. Silly me.
