When prayers are not answered

Since retirement, my dad is waiting to get more pension. Their pension is negligible. Every morning he reads the newspaper thoroughly to find out whether the government has taken any action to increase their pension. They have also filed a case, but recently he came to know that all their efforts dashed to the ground. I was praying to God to increase their pension to see him relaxed. He is now very upset and has lost hope. I too am disheartened. It's really bad when your prayers are not answered. Should we lose hope?

No. I believe in this "you may dislike a thing which may good for you,you may like a thing which may bad for you".and God is knower of unseen.

But how a good amount of pension can be bad for us?

@deba12 That's what I say....Money is good but who knows it may create some problems.and certain criteria required to ask prayers. This is what I believe. you can earn money in different sources.Stay positive.

I believe your prayer has been answered. The pension may not have increased but you will not lack what you need.

Your Father is not receiving his just pension? How terrible. Well hope is relative, justice is more like it in this case. Sometimes action is needed as well as hoping.
