My eldest daughter is coming for lunch.

Just when I was preparing a couple of toasts for my breakfast, my eldest daughter called me and asked me if I would have her for lunch. Of course, I said, quickly thinking about what to cook. I usually check for leftovers when I´m alone, but Tania deserves more. I am defrosting some chicken thighs which I will cook with a mushroom sauce. I have to make some rice for tomorrow and I will steel a bit to have that as a side dish for her. Dear friends, I´m off to cook for a while. See you later.

Chicken is always a delight, for a nice luncheon. I just cooked five chicken legs and one of them will be for my lunch, also:) Enjoy your daughter's company, over lunch!

I fry the thighs and then just add cut up mushrooms sautéed in butter and a bit of cream. Delicious and easy.

@marguicha Oh that sounds so delicious! My chicken was the leg section. I roasted them with a small amount of Old Bay seasoning, garlic, and served with string beans. With a 1/2 blueberry muffin on the side, it was very tasty:)

Both of my daughters feel that they are welcome here every time they wish. She told me that she was going to the supermarket before coming and I asked her to bring some ice cream for dessert and potatoes.
