My eldest daughter is coming for lunch.

Just when I was preparing a couple of toasts for my breakfast, my eldest daughter called me and asked me if I would have her for lunch.
Of course, I said, quickly thinking about what to cook. I usually check for leftovers when I´m alone, but Tania deserves more.
I am defrosting some chicken thighs which I will cook with a mushroom sauce. I have to make some rice for tomorrow and I will steel a bit to have that as a side dish for her.

Both of my daughters feel that they are welcome here every time they wish. She told me that she was going to the supermarket before coming and I asked her to bring some ice cream for dessert and potatoes.

Chicken is always a delight, for a nice luncheon. I just cooked five chicken legs and one of them will be for my lunch, also:) Enjoy your daughter's company, over lunch!

I fry the thighs and then just add cut up mushrooms sautéed in butter and a bit of cream. Delicious and easy.

@marguicha Oh that sounds so delicious! My chicken was the leg section. I roasted them with a small amount of Old Bay seasoning, garlic, and served with string beans. With a 1/2 blueberry muffin on the side, it was very tasty:)
