Shawn Johnson and Michael Payne will be honored by the Western Massachusetts Red Cross on March 22, 2018 for their role to assist a two year old girl who was on Main Street in Monson Massachusetts in late December who was shivering in the cold. Johnson and Payne were working for Comcast at this time where they picked up the two year old girl and did everything under their power to get her warmed up until the medical personnel arrived to attend to her needs. Lisa Wood who is an employee with Comcast nominated Johnson and Payne as Hometown Heroes after the story broke out. Johnson and Payne are being modest about their act of kindness since they said that the police and the emergency responders assisted them during the time that they assisted the two year old girl avoid a terrible fate on that day.

Hoorah for them! They are heroes. My question is, what was a two yr old doing outside without her parents or guardian??

That is a good question since the dad of the child was inside the home when it happened and he told the police that his daughter left the home without his knowledge.
