Favorite "Door" Songs #6 - "A Wolf at the Door"

Do not open this particular door, no matter how persistent the knocking! We are at #6 in my countdown of my favorite songs with "door" in the title: "A Wolf at the Door" by Radiohead. "A Wolf at the Door" is the final track from Radiohead's Grammy nominated 2003 album, Hail to the Thief (their fifth nomination for Best Alternative Music Album in a row. They lost out to The White Stripes.) Interestingly, the album was leaked, unfinished, on the Internet a full ten weeks before it's scheduled release, and radio stations were asked to stop playing it. Despite this, Hail to the Thief debuted at #1 in the UK and #3 in the US. As for "A Wolf at the Door," it was not released as one of the album's four singles (three of which charted.) In the long run, it probably wasn't hit material anyway. Guitarist Jonny Greenwood has compared Thom Yorke's lyrics to a Grimm's fairy tale, while Yorke himself described it as being like "waking up from a nightmare."
