Do you buy scratch cards?

If you are foolish enough to play those scratch card lottery tickets you can buy in your local store its best to do some simple checks before you do. The odds of you winning a big ticket prize are pretty small to start out with. The Lottery remains a tax on the stupid and the poor. In the United Kingdom, by law, the lottery operator has to print somewhere public just how many of the jackpots have been won on the various scratch cards. If half of the $100,000 prizes have gone for that run, for example, you have less chances of winning big. Lottery scratch tickets are a set amount printed, sent out, and that’s it. But here is the thing. They don’t have to tell you all the big prizes have been claimed on the scratch off cards and don’t have to withdraw them from sales once the big prizes have been claimed. People are addicted to those things. If only they knew. Of course they don’t and thats the point

My definition of gambling; Taking hard earned money that the government taxes you on and giving it all to the government. :-)

I think that this is just fun, if you can afford it. It is just like if you plan to live on the money you earn at mylot, you are more than foolish. but that is not the idea. We have fun, meet people, learn a few things.

We should not take this so seriously. I buy scratch cards few times a year. It is fun. Of course, I don't count on winning a big money.

I never play the lottery or scratch cards because I have no faith that I'll win, which I think is a good thing.

It's bad when you buy a $1 scratch off ticket and can't even win the dollar back @thedevilinme .

It's never been something that's interested me but I see a few people who buy them daily at our local shop! Have to admit it annoys the heck out of me when they stand and scratch them at the counter while the shop rings up the rest of their shopping...Then buy more with the couple of quid they won!
