To Say That A Job Is Good Or Not Is Actually A Matter Of Opinion

To say that a job is a good one or not is a matter of opinion...I don't mean the pay, I'm talking about the job itself. For example, some people I know are surprised when I tell them that I actually liked being a janitor for a hotel better than being a bellman/doorman at that same hotel.

I prefer doing customer service in a call center rather than customer service at a retail store or restaurant. I actually enjoy dealing with people over the phone than face to face. :-)

Why do like dealing with people over the phone more than face to face, Lucinda? Just curious.

@MainerMikeBrown Because when I'm dealing with an angry customer over the phone, I can put them on mute. :-)

Of course, it is. You can't argue about this topic. I was a teacher for 40 years. I liked it. Several people told me that they could never be a teacher and never wanted to be one. So there. Each to their own.

I understand that. Sometimes a person prefers what they are doing rather than what others may think is worthy of liking. Sometimes a job can provide a much lower level of stress that is needed for someone rather than a high stress high paying job.

I enjoyed being a medical assistant more than being a teacher although I had to work longer hours.
