A not so great ending to a great weekend

Our grown granddaughter and her fiance came for the weekend and it was a wonderful two days. On Saturday, my husband and her fiance, David went shopping at a huge gun shop near here and the GD and I spent a few hours cleaning out ten boxes of her things that had been in our storage building. We recently sold the property it was on, so we had tons of stuff to get rid of. She managed to get it down to two crates to take home. I've always tended to save cards, etc., but not like her! Later, the four of us went to dinner at a local steak house, then had chocolate pie back at home for David's birthday. Sunday, they met us at church (it was my turn to teach Sunday School) and went out for dinner afterwards. Sunday afternoon, my husband and David went fishing back in our pond while the GD and I just sat and talked at the house. Nothing so spectacular to some, but just spending time with them was so special to us. Some of you know how that feels. Grandkids grow up and get busy with life, so those times together mean so much. That was the great part. The not so great part is I got sick after they left and have been sick all day. Nothing serious, hopefully, most likely IBS. Anyway, we treasure wonderful memories with the kids. A family can be a blessing, although some relatives, not so much.
