I was all set to have a nice night of reading and getting everything all myLotted on a Monday....then I saw the tornado warning in Alabama. Instead of being here, I spent the evening watching James Spann cover the tornadoes. That guy is amazing in his coverage. My brother watched and became a fan almost instantly, and we both agreed that he needs to come to Louisville to teach our drama queens how to cover severe weather (right, @LoriAMoore ?). Here's the last #1 pop song on my 25-year journey of #1 songs. 1985 (Pop): One More Night - Phil Collins Yeah, not a great selection, but look at the things that were #1 that year and you'll see this was about the only option. "We Are the World"? "Say You, Say Me"? "Like a Virgin"?? (Joan Rivers joke: "the only thing she can do like a virgin is have a baby in a stable.") "We Built This freaking sorry City"???? Looking at the list of #1 songs, that is most understandable. This was pretty much when I gave up on "commercial" or "mainstream" radio.

@FourWalls - Except for "Like a Virgin," we played all those songs at the station. Needless to say, I just turned down the sound when I had to play them.

It did get to where you couldn't tell the difference, which is why I prefer ABACAB from Genesis as a trio.
