Rare Treat

Yesterday while I was watching a movie, my phone rang, showing a number I was unfamiliar with, but decided to answer it anyway. Turned out to be a good idea, as it was a friend from church.
She called to invite me to lunch today. Now, she had taken me to lunch after church last month. She wanted to me to see the book she was working on, which is very good.
So, now, I'm wondering at her mysteriousness, as she told me I would need to wait until today to find out what the occasion is for today's lunch. She did use the word INCOME on me, so now, I'm also intrigued.
I will be going to lunch for 11:30 today and find out what it's all about. I'm looking forward to it as she's a good friend, though I mostly see her only at church. She also said it was her treat. Which is good, as I don't get paid until tomorrow.
Have you had someone give you a rare treat, lunch, presents, something that meant way more because of who gave it?
Thanks for reading.

@Courtlynn Of course I am, and not because she wants to pay me, but because she's a friend and it would be an honor to help her with it.

Through out my life I have received rare treats. I cannot wait to find out about this lunch. How long will I have to wait?

@MsBooklover I wouldn't exactly say hire, but pay me for helping her with her book. I was surprised by the offer. I would have done it without being paid for it. She said that was her way. Who am I to deprive someone of a blessing, so we are both blessed. She's blessed and so am I.

It was a great lunch. Two hours. We talked about everything, and she asked me to help her proof and edit her book. She's writing about her missionary trips to Russia and other countries. I've already looked at it once before, and it's fascinating. What God has done in her life is simply amazing.
