I am always trying to find new ways to save. Saving on water usage is a great way to save monthly. Besides the ways you probably already know such as turning off the water while washing hands or brushing teeth, not flushing every time, and shortening showers below are some ways to save on water I have found: * Keep an eye on your power bill. If it goes up suddenly you may want to have a plumber check your lines for leaks. * Fill a bucket with the water as it runs used in the shower to warm up the temp. Use this water for plants. * Use a car wash instead of cleaning your car at home. They recycle the water. * Outdoor plants can be water in the early morning since the cooler morning temps will mean less water evaporation. Watering in the evening can cause mold to grow. Any ideas?

You can save your bath water and use it to bucket-flush your toilet.

The hippies knew it: "Save water. Bath with a friend."

I had no idea washes recycle the water. That is awesome! I have a well and we never have a shortage of water in this area so there's no way I will let urine sit int he toilet. Some places they have such droughts they have to do that!
