As I've mentioned a couple of times here on MyLot, I regularly have a stall at various markets signing my books. For me the benefit is not just selling a few books, but getting my name out there and making some contacts. I go to one local market every second Thursday, and I have a little circuit of markets that I work around on Saturday mornings. Have you ever taken a stall at a market? What did you sell? How did it go for you?

Mostly we've just done the odd car boot sale which is a bit similar I guess.

I have 5 of my own books currently in print that I have published - 2 are Christian, 1 poetry, 1 short stories and 1 novel. None of them are for children, but I am currently working with an artist to publish one of my children's books later this year. I also have a book of my Dad's poems, and 3 anthologies of the best entries from writing competitions that I have run. One of those is stories for children.

I helped my friends with a stall for their clothing company at a few of the local markets! It was a good laugh but not enough cash in it to make a profit for us!
