I love history and today was reading about Vikings. I have been wondering about what is the fuss about the Vikings age. I came across several interesting facts and got to understand more about them. 1. They boiled urine and touchwood from tree bark to make fire. (Seems like they were quite intelligent and this was in the 9th century) 2. They buried their dead in boats and ships. Slaves were sacrificed and placed around the body of the deceased(this was quite selfish and inhuman) 3. They raided villages where they later settled. The Vikings were Scandinavians who went on overseas expeditions and you could have seen a TV show about them. They actually had a one-eyed dog who they later sacrificed.
