Between I and She, Who Should Have Done The Sharing

March 26, 2018 4:38am CST
A lady asked me to cut something belonging to me for her. I asked her to take the quantity she wanted and keep the remainder for me. She insisted that I do the sharing that she won't. I never liked cutting out something for anyone because I would not know the quantity they would love to have. She rejected and was about to leave then I held her back and shared the stuff into two halves and gave her one. I don't know if this is right for me or I should have allowed her leave if she won't do the cutting.

It would be interesting to know WHAT you had to share. I agree with @MALUSE.

Would it be too much to ask to add the info what you cut or didn't cut? Is there a special reason why you don't mention it and make your post understandable?

She already said she did it into half and gave out one half

@Maluse, I perfectly get what you are saying but I wouldn't want to mention exactly what it is, however it is edible.

Are you talking about food? It is not really clear what you mean.

@meganjaxt You need to put that fact in the text of the story so people know what you are talking about.

Yeah, bread to be precise.

What kind of sharing are you talking about? Do you live in the same house?

@meganjaxt What do you mean? It's an apartment but same building?

Yes, the same house but different apartments.

You should just let her do the cutting .

Do not worry about it too much.If you had let her go empty handed you would have felt bad.So this is better.

When someone wants to share things with you, you should accept it.

I also prefer the owner to cut for me. I might cut too small or too big.

@meganjaxt I also hate doing the cutting whether I'm giving or receiving

You are absolutely right. However, I don't like doing the cutting because I might cut too big trying to please you or too small to your dislike. But if you do the cutting, I gave you the permission and will hold nothing against you.

Tricky. Is the lady just a stranger or someone you know? It is hard to do the cutting if it is a stranger as you dont know if the outcome would please her. And looks like she’s got some attitude.
26 Mar 18
Stranger yes, but not the first time she is accepting something from me.

@meganjaxt I see. I just got confused, though. Why is there a need to cut something and where are you two when this happened?
