“I was working on a steak the other day And I saw Waddy in the Rattlesnake Cafe Dressed in black, tossing back a shot of rye Finding things to do in Denver” Raise your hand if you have heard of this performer! I do not think fourwalls left the mile high city after getting the “Mr. Bad Influence” album. This was not a solo writing effort for Zevon. Sharing writing credit are Leroy Marinell and Waddy Wachtel (who also served as guitarist for that Linda person) whose names are mentioned in the lyrics. The song was not released as a single. If the title “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead” sounds familiar, Hollywood borrowed it for a 1995 black comedy crime movie starring Andy Garcia and Christopher Walken. The song appears on the soundtrack.
Concert at The Buttom, Fort Lauderdale, FL on December 28, 1990. Personnel: Gurf Morlix Dan Dugmore To see the whole show: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?li...

Zarren Wevon? Feeling guilty for leaving off the Los Angeles countdown with "Join Me in L.A.," are you? That entire album is simply outstanding. I've never been to Denver, but guess what I'll be listening to when/if I do make it!!!!! And I won't need a cab to find a priest, either!
