Good afternoon from this side of the planet. I am watching a horror film right now then I happened to stare at calendar at the back of our door.
I know it will be full moon tonight but I was surprised to see that it is the 2nd full moon for the month of March.
So, this is the 2nd blue moon for 2018.
Will there be more than 2 blue moons within this year?

yes, and i believe that there will be no more because every month, a full moon will be present.

@ridingbet One full moon per month and one new moon. There usually aren't two full or two new moons in a month. That's what makes them a blue moon. I think we've had them all for this year.

@just4him yes, and that was why there were 2 full moons last January is because one was for February.

It was cloudy last night so I didn;'t notice the full moon and it is overcast today too!!

i think the blue moon was not as big as the full blue moon last January. i saw its entirety when it was already up over my head, at midnight.

according to this article, the next blue moon will be in 2020
The upcoming Blue Moon rises on Saturday (March 31). It'll be the second Blue Moon of the year, and the last until 2020.

yes i think so. we had 2 full moons last January because February has only 28 days, and there was no full moon last month. March 2 was supposed to be for February and this 31st of march is for this month.
