Think about it. Without internet, the distance of friendship don't travel far and wide. You will likely to be closer to the people around you but you will not have a lot of interesting conversations with the others who are living half a world away from you. What do you think?

That is the advantage but how about the disadvantages?

The disadvantage is that your relationship with the people around you will be distanced especially if both of you don’t see eye to eye on some views

Without the internet I would rarely see anyone in person. I am thankful to have the internet to socialize with people locally and across the country!

Having the internet helps people be connected regardless of location as before once a friend moved away the relationship almost always ended because of lost connections.

This days as long as there are connectivity, you can still keep in contact with the person.

One of the good things about the internet is that, it can do both. It can make you reach out to other people far away from you through social media and other platforms like mylot and also make you closer to those people around you through easily contacting them via chat, messenger, etc.
