Freelance Unprofessionalism

So I am a dad, working as a freelance guy for a client who does business in Amazon. We have been on the business preparation /Feasibility stage. We were hoping this one to be a big project and as 2 weeks ago, client is optimistic. Last week, I made a follow-up with my boss (the main contact person for the client) to see if there are developments. The client still owes us money and we have invested a lot of time and effort for free on this one too, thinking that its worth the sacrifice until our communication with my boss went out last week. I have been sending him messages and even if he is online he just ignores me and my other team mate. I am not really sure, what went wrong but he could have at least let us know if the project still pushes through this month. Now, I am tempted to go directly to the client's assistant to ask if she knows if any of this will really materialize this April. Hoping things end well. I am already struggling with my bills. Just so crazy how some people don't know about courtesy and professionalism. Even employees who get fired get to know they have been. This one, we are all left wondering on what goes on next.

I hope that things will end up well. AT times you cannot really understand people

The hard to accept part - I invested a lot of effort in it.

I am sorry to know this happened to you. Sometimes people just really forget courtesy and manners.

@raijem I am not speaking on his behalf but it is either he was ashamed of what he did or something happened. Did you talk to your boss about this?
