I always feel that nowadays high school students are so tired. They have so much homework to do. In order to go to a good college, They have to stay up too lale every day!I know most of them have only three to four hours to sleep in order to finish the homework or do more practice for a high grade. Though parents know that staying up late is bad for Children's health, they have no way to deal with it because they also want their Children to go to a good college. What about the students in your country, dear friends?

I heard the same with South Korea and Japan .. Their students are put under a lot of pressure .. It's terrible .. The students here in Australia are fortunate not to have so much pressure ...

I don't have any children in school at the moment, so I don't have any information about how late they stay up.

Here, the students not only need top grades, but they need to belong to clubs, hopefully as president, be active in sports, hopefully as captain of their team, and do volunteer work in the community. It's tough, but the competition in the top universities is stiff. Usually the better the university, the better the job, so it pays off in the end.

Our basic education pays more attention to learning than to volunteer work. I think volunteer work plays an indelible role in the growth of children. College education is much easier than basic education. Of course, it takes a lot of effort to get good grades. Thank you for sharing.

@caopaopao College is much easier in many ways than high school. My boys went through it all, and my husband was a university professor.

The rule in America is that some people are fit to tackle college after high school. Other high school graduates can apply to have a mentor teach them the ropes of their chosen profession.

In China, some junior middle school students will go to high school if they good enough and want to go to college. Some others will go to vocational school to accept training for a future job. The high school students are stressed. The vocational school students are not.
