Only time I did not get my ass beat is when my drunk step dad liked a song. It some weird twisted way. I actually loved when he would smile. It was pretty amazing to see he was human and not a big abusive waste of space. The great thing is he always tried at least for 5 minutes until his drunk ass forgot. Its OK, that being so Small knew it was not how the world was meant to be. Why I always loved country because he used to sing and while carried a drunk tune. I knew I was safe and bother and sister was safe. Made me smile when he carried a drunk tune. Then to hear a punk band made country punk. Oh crap, am I about to die in an earthquake in 5 minutes. Somethings in this world just defy gravity.
