Seriously, if I get any "I never heard of them" comments, it had better be facetious. We are at #7 in my countdown of my favorite bands with a color in their name: Pink Floyd.
Really, this is all that you need to know about London's Pink Floyd: They've sold over 250 million albums worldwide. 250 million!!! !!! !!! They are in both the Rock and Roll and UK Music Hall's of Fame.
Don't believe me? Go walk down a busy street. Haven't seen a guy wearing an old Pink Floyd T-shirt yet? That's odd. Go around the block. You're sure to see a Floyd shirt soon enough.
Because, you see, the psychedelic group that formed in 1965, and after a couple hiatuses, broke up in 2014, has been one of the world's most popular bands.

Yes, it was @teamfreak16 but I remember hearing the Gnome when I first heard about Pink Floyd, I didn't know then just how good they were going to get.

Definitely one of my favorite bands at 17 years old. When i was about 11 or so I think, Roger Waters came to ATL and I wanted to go so badly. I really want a tattoo of the screaming face that comes out of the wall in the song Empty Spaces

What? You don't have the artist "Pink" # 1? Pink Floyd, one of the most influential and commercially successful groups of all time. Dark side is a personal favorite, but many great songs throughout their history. Love the songs "Breathe" and "Us and Them." I go see a local band which plays the latter song and their rendition is "spot on."
