Not so for us I guess, unless we are doing mine and his. I'm hoping not! Lets see, me major emergency surgery, then abscessed tooth, then he hit a deer. Thought that would be it. Nope, we had gotten tickets to this dinosaur thing and it was yesterday. I knew I wasn't up to it no matter how bad I wanted to go. Hubby took Tessa alone. Within a few hours he was home. SICK! He literally got home, slept almost all night, went to bed and has been in bed all day sleeping. His fever finally broke and I'm hoping it stays gone. He has never stayed in bed all day. I'm hating the stairs right now that is for sure! I'm also hoping, yes this sounds mean, but I'm hoping he keeps it to himself! We aren't understanding why he keeps getting sick and I'm not. I know my immune system should be down but it doesn't seem to be, thankfully as I wouldn't be able to take care of him then. So far Tess and I are doing good. Trying to get him to go even for a checkup when he is better, told him he needs one. Yeah his reply to me was, that I should talk. Made up some onion syrup and gave him some herbals for immune system earlier and for his fever. I have cleaned some, now cleaning up my herbal cabinet as It needed it. So what have you been up to and how are you doing?

No he hasn't been .. coughing up tons of phlegm thou. When I took him some lemon and honey tea, he said he was feeling a little better just really tired. I didn't know that was a symptom, I skipped that one when I had them. Might give him stone breaker just in case thou. Now Tessa has started coughing. Going to be a tiring week.

Tess is now starting to cough and that is how his seemed to start. If she gets bad we will go to the doctors. I don't like them but since I don't know what it is I will feel better taking her. Will see how she is in the morning.

@Courtlynn That is me, she has a slight cough and had a small fever last night, she had some onion syrup when she woke up at night. Fever is gone and just the slight cough again. Wish she liked lemon and honey but she doesn't.

That is why I want him to go to the doctors as he never used to get sick and now it is like almost a common thing.

With just having major surgery and low iron I'm pretty sure my immune system is lower than normal. Just not so low I catch whatever this is I hope. he said he did as he got to spend one on one time with Tess.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear your hubby is sick and that you've been dealing with so much stress (in addition to your emergency surgery) lately. Hopefully he doesn't spread whatever it is to you or your daughter.

@Srbageldog She seems to be getting better and hubby is good enough to go to work, not like he has a choice thou really, but he did say he is feeling better. I didn't get sick, surprisingly enough! Onion Syrup is something handed down thru our family, just cut the onions in circles, add water a little sugar or honey and simmer it down til it is like a syrup. It is used as a cough syrup and they can take as much as they want without side effects. My whole family loves it.

My kids have always loved it and it works! My 11 year old started to cough just a bit ago and asked for some. It is a family recipe handed down.

Both respiratory and stomach bugs keep going round and round. Hubby does not get sick, though he is the one who had cancer a year ago, a stroke, heart cath, and pacemaker. I try to take care of me, but I keep getting colds and sinus issues. I sure hope your family gets a good break soon.

Thank you, we hardly ever get sick but this time it has been a dousey. Today I woke up with a throat on fire, or at least it felt like it. Different then theirs, hoping mine goes away faster. I need to be able to do some stuff.

maybe because of the surgery you had a lot of antibiotics given at the time and they are still in your system. as far as bad things coming, they just keep piling up sometimes more then 3

Antibiotics don't work on colds, just bacterial infections. I think it could be I take Vitamin C and a few other immune boosting herbs. Hopefully this is it! no more adding to that 3.. lol
