, I stumbled upon this photo of my graduation in Fashion Designing in 1975..Wow! 43 years ago and yet, it feels like it only happened yesterday when I saw this photo.. I still have the graduation program.. Read all the names but could not remember the names of the ones on this photo with me..I can still remember what meal they served that day.. But most of all, I remember how unhappy I was because the dressmaker who sewed the gown I designed, did not follow the exact design..So in the last minute, I added a long scarf..( the blue dress ).. When I started designing and making bridal wears here in Australia, a mother of the bride loved the design and asked me to make it for her.. And a bride also asked me to make wedding dress in this design.. I wonder what happened to fellow graduates..I wonder if they went on to become successful designers.. It would be nice to find out if they pursued their dreams of making it big in the fashion industry.. I didn’t make it big in this industry, but I received a Designer Of the year In 2004 Australian Fashion Award held in our small town here in Western suburb of Melbourne.. That was the highlight of my working life..I enjoyed my 5 minutes of fame.. lol!!.. It was good to be awarded for the quality of the works of your hands. I treasure the moment.. All the hard work payed off.. Anyway, it would be amazing to reunite with all those fashion designing graduates and share our experiences .. Working here in Australia as a self-employed Designer/Dressmaker/Tailor , I have many stories to tell.. What is the highlight of your working life?... Thank you for reading Bess.. .
