Sometimes People Are So Finicky

Don't you Love in life the people you know that no matter what happens in life nothing every persuades them to change their mind on how they think or act. They are the ones who are always Biased and seem to be correct. Even if you know they are wrong, they are right. I have a good friend that insists things should always be her way. Sometimes it is even not the norm. She just is always wanting to challenge things. She is a Christian but sometimes I wonder when her parents pass, they are both in their late 80s will she still be one, or is she doing it because of them? She is 53 yrs old, never been Married. I have known her like 10 yrs or so and she has never dated anyone or had the desire to date. She pretty much is a loner except around certain people. I think she would be boring to hang around with for very long except to just talk with from time to time. She is a teacher at one of the roughest schools in our area, but I think if she was not a Christian she would be Gay. She just has a lot of those traits even though she is a Christian. But I would never tell her what I think as that is not right. But there are times some of the things she has said, or even has done that makes you wonder.. And if you disagree with her, you know better than to say something. The older she gets the worse she seems to get in some ways. But overall I think some of it is upbringing as in how raised, and some of it being her Dad is an old time pastor and so she is a PK. But Honestly if worse came to worse there are so many things I do not see eye to eye with her on, and would not have to ever challenge her. I am sure you all have Friends or acquaintances you know like this. But sometimes I would like to tell her, you know you would probably be a Happier person if you could be Gay like your personality tries to portray. (She would probably be the Male.) I know shame on me for even thinking that or posting it here. ~~TINA~~

I did not understand what does being gay have to do with being Christian. Please explain. And what is a PK?

Hi Tina! A person does not choose to be gay. They either are or are not and Chritianity had nothing to do with it! Why do you bother keeping her friendship?

Now I disagree with this. They do have the choice to be Gay or straight. My nephew was even almost married but now has decided to be with a guy. Many times it stems back to something tragic that happened in their childhood.

@KrauseHome I don't like to disagree, but according to medical professionals it is not a choice. I never made a choice to be gay but I have been all my life. Did you make a decision to be straight or have you always been?

I agree with Judy, she does not sound like much of a friend. People can have different opinions, but it's wrong to try to impose your opinions over the other.

It's okay for you to have your opinions. You're not worrying her with them. She doesn't sound like much of a friend though.

My Aunt is that way (the always right and what not). But surprisingly, people still hang out with her. Though, her own kids really won't unless it's a family thing they're doing. My mom is 51 - never married - and hasn't been with anyone since my "dad" 25 years ago. She is straight, completely. But has no desire for a relationship. Many women, and men, don't. Half the time, I don't. It's not a big deal or mean someone's straight or gay? Though, I have heard that a lot of people don't come out, because of them being religious

That is true. Many are Happy being single. But when they just have some strange tendencies that do not always add up it makes you wonder, and Yes, I have heard of many who have hidden it because of their Religion, etc

How does being gay exclude anyone from being Christian?

Depends really on each person's biblical beliefs and thinking. And in reality Yes, there are many people out there that have chose this lifestyle that still believe in God
